You wind your way through the upper-class districts of Ul'dah, a coyly-worded invitation clutched in your hand. The name Twisted Lotus has long been associated with pleasure here, but only recently has it been open to all to enjoy, regardless of status. As you pass by the improbably manicured grass lawns, wondering at the luxury that allows their owners to grow such a thing in this arid climate, you eventually come to a high hedge wall scattered with roses. You follow it to find a wrought iron gate, set with a pink stained glass flower in the center, towering over you.

Please note that we use a different search icon system than most other venues. You can recognise our staff by their corsages, rather than search icons. Safe-for-work staff wear white hyacinth corsages and bookable consorts wear red hyacinth corsages. Our guests, meanwhile, are free to use search icons to indicate their openness to roleplay:

Gold 'RP' roleplaying tag if you are actively in character and happy to participate in walk-up RP.

About the Venue

The Twisted Lotus Dungeon Club is a lounge and professional dungeon space catering to kinky players aged 21 and over, founded on Famfrit in 2022. Our unique Crystal-style immersive roleplay venue provides both a kink-positive and queer friendly social space as well as a fully decorated dungeon including custom bondage furniture and gear (everything has been enchanted to ensure things remain safe and sanitary). The Legend of the Lotus

The building that is now known as the Twisted Lotus Dungeon Club was once the personal salon of the famed Hellsguard courtesan Twisted Lotus. After entertaining Ul'dah's elite for over forty-five years, "Miss Twisted," as she was most commonly known, finally chose to retire from her public life shortly after the events related to the End of Days, taking a comfortable permanent position instead with one of her longest standing clients. As she worked independently, with no heir apparent to leave her holdings - or client list - to, the question of what would happen to her estate was a mystery for some time, until an enigmatic but evidently very well-connected individual known only as the Benefactor purchased the building outright.

Did you know... in-universe, the Lotus is an invitation only dungeon. Your invitation is printed on black cardstock with gold embossed lettering. Most invitees are recommended by word of mouth from current patrons, but invitations may also show up in your mail spontaneously, or be handed out discreetly at similar establishments. Some rare few patrons already involved in the lifestyle may learn of the dungeon's existence on their own and choose to investigate - but there is no guarantee any knock on our doors will be answered.

With no evident interest in running a courting business themselves, but a desire to continue contributing to the legend of the place they now owned (or perhaps just profit from it), this so-called Benefactor instead turned the decision of what to do with their new purchase to two of their employees, Munkhdalai Khatayin and Floki Ornedwesfv. The pair took their experiences as kinksters - and a few of the stories of Miss Twisted's more extraordinary services - and transformed the building into an open kink dungeon and lounge space for those in the lifestyle. When the time came to choose a name for the new business, the team chose to honour the building's original owner and named their venue the Twisted Lotus Dungeon Club after her.Since opening to the public, the Lotus has attracted a niche but loyal clientele, providing both entertainment - as the building always has been used for - as well as education in the form of public seminars and private lessons for interested clientele.

Who is the Benefactor?

No one is quite sure who Mun and Floki's mysterious business partner is, and when asked, the pair will simply grin and say "oh, just the big boss at our workplace." Whoever they are, they either doesn't seem to care much about partaking in the club's pleasures, or else are keeping themselves very well undercover - but theories abound. A powerful member of the Syndicate? A dignitary come to Eorzea from far-off lands? An elder dragon who just wants a break from Dravanian politics? Or perhaps it's a person of much smaller countenance...

The Benefactor is a canon NPC featured in the MSQ prior to Patch 6.1.

Out-of-Character Rules

Out-of-character rules for players are firm. You are expected to follow them whether or not you bothered to read them. They are in place to ensure everyone's safety. Breaking our OOC rules is considered a consent violation, as all other players are participating with them in mind. Please read carefully, and don't be afraid to ask a staff member if you have questions!

1.  All participants must be 21 or older, playing original characters who are 21 or older. Roleplaying canon NPCs is not permitted on open nights. Furthermore, if we find that you are lying about your age, you will be banned permanently - including after you do age back in.2.  Please review the search icon system on the homepage of our Carrd. Our guests use search icons to indicate their preferred level of interaction. Interacting with someone who has indicated they do not wish to have others approach them without prior consent is grounds for a ban.3.  Consent is not optional. Do not engage in physical contact with anyone, including our consorts, without first obtaining their consent.4.  PRIVACY IS PARAMOUNT. Respectful lurkers are welcome, but do not stream inside our venue or take screenshots of our participants. If we see you in gpose on an open night, you will be kicked out (yes, even if you were just taking pictures of the decor). We are happy to arrange appointments for those interested in using our space for gpose.5.  This is an IC/OOC high separation space. If someone isn't offering information about themselves as a player to you, don't ask for it.6.  Please hide sheathed weapons before entering. This helps to prevent instance congestion and speeds load times for other guests. If you'd like to use a weapon in-character for your scene, there is a small weapons fee which can be paid to the front desk.7.  Similarly, minions are allowed only if they exist in character, such as if your character has a service animal following them around, or you are using a magic broom to clean up from a scene. Otherwise, please dismiss them to reduce load clutter and allow more space for guests.8.  As we are intended to be an immersive venue, try to keep OOC chatting in public chat channels to a minimum and ensure that it is clearly demarcated using brackets/an OOC tag, or similar indication. Due to the limited range on /say, guests are permitted to use /yell sparingly when communicating with others from across the venue. Shout is reserved for staff.9.  Please be respectful to our neighbours and do not ERP or discuss kink in /em, /say, or any other public chat channel while outside in the yard. We have a garden room open to all if you'd like to roleplay in the outdoors.10.  Scenes which include ageplay, scat or watersports, noncon (including CNC play), gore/vore, snuff, major injuries such as broken bones or organ damage, and any scene that purposefully 'goes wrong' or flouts etiquette are not allowed in public chat channels while on the dungeon floor. Discussion of the existence of these topics, without using them in a public scene, is permitted. What consenting players do in the privacy of their own party chat/tells/DMs is not our business, nor is what happens in the sanctity of rented private rooms.

Lalafell Policy

Lalas are welcome to come enjoy the ambiance as long as your character is unambiguously an adult. However, we ask that Lalafell players kindly stay out of the basement. We have a lounge space for you upstairs and are happy to bring you drinks and conversation should you ask! Aditionally, Lalafell are also prohibited from openly performing/soliciting kink or ERP in public chat channels and using sexually suggestive emotes/clothing in the synchshell.

In-Character Rules

In-character rules are in place to contribute to the immersion of the venue. We will generally not ban you outright for breaking these, but we may still have a discussion with you depending on the level and type of offense.

1.  No one under 21 is permitted to enter.2.  Clothing is optional once inside, but if you do choose to stay dressed, please follow the dress code: classy when you can, kinky when you can't! Formalwear, leather, lingerie, and fetish attire/costume are all appropriate. Work clothes and heavy armour are not. If you choose to stay naked, we have free towels you can place down anywhere you sit first.3.  It's cool if you're just here to drink and socialise, but drunken play is not allowed. You may have a single alcoholic drink, to the point that your judgement will not be impaired, before play. Our security can and will check your aether stability levels if you join us in the play space and we suspect you may have overindulged - and our resident healer will sober you up with a spell if necessary, for a small fee.4.  Blades and other sharp implements longer than six ilms must be checked at the door. If you want something bigger, come see us at the front desk and we'll see what we can do.5.  For safety reasons, bloodplay, other messy bodily fluids, and live open flames must be confined to the wetroom area in the back of the dungeon, or any rented private space. For purposes of this rule 'bloodplay' means anything that involves open bloodflow - small incidental scratches and scrapes are okay elsewhere; deliberately invoking blood is not.6.  Cleanup from your scenes is your responsibility. Free towels are provided in the dungeon area alongside shared tools. You can also purchase a magic broom from our front desk if you've neglected to bring your own.7.  If you're ever unsure about any points of normal dungeon etiquette, please ask our staff so we can help guide you. As a general rule, it's usually okay if you want to watch at a distance, but don't bust into other people's scenes without asking first. And if someone asks you to step away, listen.8.  Not even most of our staff know who the Benefactor is, but you're welcome to keep asking... so long as you like big fish stories.

Twisted Lotus' professional consorts offer personal E/RP sessions at their own discretion and may accept or refuse bookings for any reason. Sessions can take place in open OR closed chat channels. No gil will be exchanged until both staff and customer(s) have agreed OOC on the type of scene and what chat to hold it in. Your time does not start until after negotiations are complete. Please pay your consort directly. All scenes include aftercare free of charge. Please note that we do not guarantee refunds in the case of disconnections, broken rules, or a consort choosing not to complete a scene for any reason.Rebooking policy: In order to allow for our consorts to interface with a variety of guests, we ask that clients not book the same consort two openings in a row. For consorts who work both openings a week, this means you may book them (for example) on a Monday, but not the immediately following Saturday. If what you want to do requires skin-to-skin touching of body parts on either party that would normally be covered by underwear/a bra, then it gets thrown into the 'sexual' category. Dungeon Tour

You'll be welcomed into our reception area by one of our lovely hosts. To the left you'll find a changing area wherein you can strip off your armour and store your weapons (or wait for those pesky Mare load bars). To the right, you'll find our shop area. We're stocked with attire, toys, potions, and more for you to enjoy. Bring home a little piece of the dungeon with you!

Head downstairs and you'll arrive in our bar and lounge area! Our bartender will keep you satisfied with food and drinks if you wish, or you're welcome to just spend your time lounging and relaxing. You'll also find naughty pet jail here!

Enter the basement and you'll find yourselves in our unique, custom-designed play space! Our amenities include a wooden horse, spanking bench, two four-point restraint tables, an area with hardpoints and soft mats for suspension, two St. Reymanaud's Crosses, and adjustable-height stocks to accommodate all from the most petite Au Ra to the tallest Roegadyn! We're especially proud of our bondage Spider's Web, and of course our local friendly tentacle monster Audrey, who you won't find at any other dungeon in Eorzea! To the rear of the space, you'll also find a bed for the more vanilla exhibitionists as well as a small wetroom area for messy play. The dungeon provides toys such as rope, paddles, floggers, and so on for use by the curious - don't worry, everything has been enchanted to remain safe and sterile!

Open Side Rooms

Our open side rooms, while located in the 'private chambers' area, can be entered by anyone at any time. Please feel free to use as if they are a part of the main dungeon. You'll know them by the marked [OPEN] indicator on the door!

The Aftercare Lounge (Room #4) is a warm and cozy space to relax after a scene or simply hang out. The curtains on the beds in the back can be closed for those who desire privacy, or sit on the couches and pillows or at the kotatsu if you'd like a more social experience. A small snack bar and first aid station are also provided. Please note that sexual contact is not allowed in the aftercare lounge.

The Back Garden (Room #6) is one of the spaces we're proudest of here. Finally, a space where you can enjoy your outdoor sex and primal encounters freely! Whether you're after a romantic picnic, steamy hot spring sex, or a literal roll in the hay, be sure to explore to find just everything our extra space has to offer. There's still tucked away corners yet to be found!
